About Dr. J
Dr. Jonathan M. Mitchell or “Dr. J” was born in England, but grew up in Easley, South Carolina and graduated from Easley High School. He received his undergraduate degrees in History and Biology at the College of Charleston and completed dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he also received a Ph.D. in craniofacial development. He went on to complete an additional two years of training in pediatric dentistry in Seattle at the Center for Pediatric Dentistry / University of Washington School of Dentistry and Seattle Children’s Hospital.
Dr. J is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association and South Carolina Dental Association.
Dr. J and his wife, Kalah, a graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, have six children, Nolan (14), Jenson (13), Mason (12), Emerson (11), Noah (9), and Winston (4). In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, watching his kids play youth sports, and spending time outdoors camping and hiking.
